Makars Series
In the spirit of "makers", the Makars Series is an authentic way to meet each other and honor our creative work. Held once a month in different venues across D.C., these Open Mics regularly draw crowds of over fifty people. Our goals are simple: to revel in the talent of our friends and neighbors; to find meaningful ways to meet and learn from each other; and to build a local writers’ community. We're looking for performers who want opportunities to test out original work, reach new audiences, or re-discover their side passions. Whether new arrivals to the city or long-time residents, we're all looking to make new friends and expand our networks. Come gather with us to share good art and show how much talent lives in D.C.
