In the spirit of "makers", the Makars series is an authentic way to meet each other and honor our creative work. Pre-COVID, we held our Open Mics once a month in different venues across D.C., which regularly drew crowds of over 50 people. We continue to hold Makars Open Mics virtually. Our goals are simple: to revel in the talent of our friends and neighbors; to find meaningful ways to meet and learn from each other; and to build community. Our Open Mics are for performers who want opportunities to test out original work, reach new audiences, or are re-discovering their side passions. Come gather with us to share good art and show how much talent lives in D.C.
